What does Muyuna mean?

Muyuna - whirlpool in quechuaMuyuna is a Quechua word that means whirlpool. Francisco Izquierdo Rios, Peruvian writer, in his book Muyuna undertook to give a more poetic meaning "swirling river of life that the sailor caught off guard without mercy."

According to the legend, whoever falls into the Muyuna is trapped and cannot get out. It’s a force that will stay inside of you and when you believe you are at home, away from this spell, the Muyuna will return you to this beautiful place.

That's why we called our lodge MUYUNA, so that visitors feel the irresistible desire to return to the Peruvian jungle.
